Shakira’s New Music Video Clip with Rafael Nadal
I’m gasping for air looking at the snippet of Shakira’s, 33 new video that features tennis star Rafael Nadal. Shakira gave us some insight as to why she chose the sexy Spaniard as her love object for her new vid Gypsy.
“I thought that maybe I needed someone I could in some way identify with. And Rafael Nadal is a person who has been totally committed to his career since he was very young, since he was 17, I believe,” she said.
MMMM… sorry Shakira but I think you chose Rafael because he is gorgeous as hell. We also know that the last time a singer (Enrique Iglesia) had a guest tennis star (Anna Kournikova) in their video the two ending up hooking up and being in a very serious relationship.
Too bad for Shakira but Rafa is taken. Nadal has been dating his high school sweetheart Maria Francisca Perello, for nearly four years. The hip shaking Columbian has also been with her fiancé Antonio De La Rua for quite some time but that still doesn’t stop her from catching some of Nadal’s matches (in December 2008 and in March 2009 to be exact).
The bold She Wolf singer even spoke to Rafa after the last match, where she reportedly asked Nadal if he wanted her to “teach him how to sing” in exchange for him teaching her “how to play.” She also said in a filmed interview, “We all know he’s an animal on the court, and we’re all really proud of him.”
