Method Man Arrested For Tax Evasion

You run but you can’t hide from Uncle Sam. Clifford Smith aka Method Man was arrested today in Staten Island, New York (where he was born and still lives) for tax evasion. The Wu-Tang Clan member is currently sitting behind bars for not paying his New York State taxes from 2004-2007 and for owing $32,799. It doesn’t sound like alot of money for a grammy award winning artist? In 2007, he was busted for marijuana possession and driving under the influence and back in 2008 his Lincoln Navigator was repo’d for being $52,503 behind in payments! Damn that sounds like he never made one payment. Method Man did have some work after his 1990′s hit rap songs were laid to rest. He had a recurring role on HBO’s “The Wire,” as drug crew chief Melvin “Cheese” Wagstaff. If convicted the divorced father of four could face 4-7 years in the clink. Ouch!
