Wanda Sykes Is A Mom
Comedienne Wanda Sykes and her partner Alex are going to have some sleepless nights ahead of them. Wanda’s longtime partner and wife of 6 months gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl named Lucas Claude and daughter Olivia. Wanda’s rep released the following statement: “All are happy and healthy and at home”
Wanda who is openly gay came out at an anti-prop rally in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wanda and Alex were married on October 25, 2008. Congratulations to the couple!

Wanda Sykes Rocks the 2009 Correspondence Dinner In D.C.
The 2009 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner took place this weekend in Washington, D.C. and it appeared to have been a blast. The comedienne Wanda Sykes was host and she told some pretty funny jokes. This the once a year event when politicans and journalists seem to get along. The dinner is a who’s who event with celebrities, journalists, and politicians all mingling together. The attendees ranged from Barbara Walters to Ashton Kutcher to Bon Jovi to Former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Here is just some of the jokes Ms. Sykes told during her roast to the President.
“The first black president! I know you’re bi-racial, but. The first black president! That’s unless you screw up. Then it’s gonna be: what’s up with the half-white guy?”
“Sarah Palin was supposed to be here but pulled out at the last minute. Someone should tell her: that’s not how you practice abstinence.”
“Limbaugh[Rush] was the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed the flight.”
President Obama also had some jokes of his own take a look they are pretty funny!
“Sasha and Malia aren’t here tonight because they’re grounded. You can’t just take Air Force One on a joyride to Manhattan.”
(Rahm Emmanuel joke) “Mother’s Day is a tough holiday for him. He’s not used to having to say the word day after ‘mother’ “.
Obama goes on to praise First Lady Michelle: “No matter which party you belong to, you have to agree, Michelle has the right to bear arms.”
“Dick Cheney was supposed to be here, but he was working on his memoirs. How To Shoot Friends and Interrogate People.”
“During the next 100 days, we will design, build, and open a library to commemorate my first hundred days…we will house train our dog Bo, because the last thing Tim Geithner needs is someone else to treat him like a fire hydrant. In the next 100 days, we will complete 100 days work in 72 days. And on the 73rd day, I will rest.”
