Prince Says Hell No to Guitar Hero
These days if your kids aren’t soaking up countless hours of reality t.v. on VH1 or MTV, they are playing video games. The game that’s blowing the doors off sales, is Guitar Hero. Musicians such as Van Halen and The Beatles are doing anything they can to get the opportunity to get a soundtrack on the game. When it comes to Prince aka Prince Rogers Nelson aka The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, he isn’t interested one bit.
Recently when he was interviewed on Tavis Smiley’s show he said, “I just think it’s more important that kids actually learn how to play the guitar.”
We just want to formerly apologize to all of you Guitar Hero addicts. Purple Rain will not be coming to a game console near you. Better keep doing the air guitar to that old cassette tape, because that’s as close as you’ll get.
