Nicole Ritchie Launches Winter Kate Fashion Line
The fashion forward socialite (and newly engaged) Nicole Ritchie launched her Winter Kate Fall 2010 line last night at Bloomingdale’s. The 37 piece line which takes the middle names of her daughter Harlow will be sold at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ron Herman, Intermix and Kitson. The fashionista is pricing her line just right with items ranging from $35 wholesale for a camisole to $110 for a long kimono dress, and as much as $598 for the leather pieces, the line is positioned similarly to her accessory collection, which now includes shoes for spring. In a recent interview Nicole added:
“Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”

Oh My Goodness Nicole and Joel Are Engaged!
Can you believe it? Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden are engaged!!! We are so happy for her I mean cmon its about damn time. Nicole tweeted:
“Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same.”
So boo tell us the details how did Joel ask you? We have a ton of questions but for now we are just elated for ya. Congrats!

Nicole Ritchie Hurt In Car Accident
The paparazzi are at it again. Nicole Ritchie was rear today around 2 pm by paparazzi in Beverly Hills. “Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2 p.m. when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her,” said Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police. “She complained of pain … Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene.” He added: “She told officers she was going to seek her own medical treatment, so it’s unknown if she’s headed to a hospital or not.”
The pap who rear ended Ritchie was arrested and booked for being unlicensed because “officers could not verify his identification,” Lt. Lee added. “He’s being physically brought into the station. This will likely be a misdemeanor traffic violation, and the photographer’s vehicle will be towed.”
Phew, luckily only Nicole was in the car and not her precious little ones!

It’s A Boy For Nicole and Joel
Congratulations to Nicole Ritchie, 27 and Joel Madden,30 on the addition to their family. Ritchie released the following statement:
“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. He weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”
We love love love the name Sparrow! We can’t wait to see the pics!

Nicole and Lionel Ritchie Go Live On Larry King
Nicole Ritchie and her “Say You, Say Me” dad Lionel Ritchie will be on Larry King tonight. The reality star didn’t let a little pregnancy get in the way of supporting her father as he promotes his new album release. We are sure Larry will bring up how Lionel feels about being a grandpa for the second time! You can watch the interview tonight on CNN at 9pm EST/6pm PT. British Airways Snubs Joel Madden
The Brits are so uptight. Good Charlotte‘s heavily inked singer was not allowed to board his flight form London to Lisbon on Saturday night because.. get this.. his tats were showing. British Airways basically gave Joel an ultimatum COVER UP or KEEP YOUR ASS IN LONDON! Joel took to his twitter account to tell the world about it:
“Was just told by a british air person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts, should I fight the power? I really actually am in shock he won’t let me on the plane till I put long sleeves on and other BA rep is disagreeing. I still can’t believe Brit Air discriminated me for tatts. Unheard of. the guy was literally disgusted by me. I’m gonna write a letter!!”
Did Joel Cover Up Or Take Another Airline?
Joel later twitted:
“I did end up covering my tats. It’s not my style to cause a scene, I just had a convo with the BA guy, told him how it was discrimination. Yes I covered up to board the BA flight. I didn’t want to miss it. And honestly I was embarrassed all the people were staring and laughing! It’s not in the rules that I can find. My tatts arent offensive. Looking into it. I havent felt this small since the first time i asked nic (girlfriend Nicole Richie) out.”
Joel’s girlfriend Nicole Richie was pissed off about the whole thing and she had a thing or two to say to British Airways on her twitter page adding:
“all of @joelmadden ‘s tattos are spiritual. Since when is expressing your love for God & family against what British Airways stands for?”
Airlines and discrimination are not new. If you recall gossilicious had a discussion on how United Airlines is now requiring oversized passengers to pay for an additional seat if they can’t fit into their seat. Jetblue Airlines did not let a passenger board one of its flights because he was wearing a t-shirt that read “We Will Not Be Silent” in Arabic and English.
Luckily for Joel he was able to board his flight to Lisbon!
