Taylor Swift Country Starlet? Ehh, Don’t Think So
So, the 52nd Annual Grammy Award Show took place this past Sunday and I loved every minute of it! from the Michael Jackson tribute to his mini 3D movie, and of course Pink‘s bangin’ performance. I have one complaint and it was for Taylor Swift‘s performance. After Swift beat out some pretty tough competition like Lady Gaga and Beyonce for Album of the Year I was shocked to hear her sing completely and I mean completely off key for her performance with Stevie Nicks. I also thought during her performance why the hell is Stevie Nicks playing backup singer to Swift???
While I love Taylor because she is so cute and not jaded by this whole success thing I don’t think she deserved the most coveted musical award of the year. I am also thinking that Mr. Kanye West had alot to do with her success. As much as I thought that Kanye was a complete asshole for disrupting her speech at the MTV VMA’s I think what he said NOW was true! Beyonce should have won.

Clooney’s Hope For Haiti Now A Hit
George Clooney managed to gather Hollywoods’ celebrities for a good cause. The Hope For Haiti Now telethon was held last night to assist Haiti which was hit by a powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday January 12th that destroyed the country.
Musicians, actors, and singers took phone calls from eager donors to support the relief efforts. Some of the A-list stars included: Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, Gerard Butler, Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell, Julia Roberts, Tobey Maguire, Charlize Theron, Meg Ryan, Mel Gibson, and Cindy Crawford.
Performances took places on the east and west coasts along with London. The telethon which was aired across the world reached over 640 million people! One celebrity that was missing was Mr.Kanye West! We assume Clooney didn’t want any drama at his event.

Are The Two Taylors An Item?
As much as everyone loves Taylor Swift it’s gonna be hard for twihards to not feel a little jealous about the rumors that she is dating Taylor Lautner. Yesterday the two Taylors were caught shopping together in Beverly Hills and grabbing a bite to eat at Ruth Chris’s Steak House. The pair, who both star in upcoming movie Valentine’s Day, have insisted they are “just friends”. Check out the pics and video of Taylor and Taylor’s night out. Kanye Calls Taylor Swift To Apologize..Finally!
Finally we can move forward with the Kanye-Gate scandal that rocked the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. This morning on The View Taylor Swift performed and spoke about the entire incident and she mentioned how Kanye had not apologized to her. “He has not personally reached out or anything but if he wanted to say hi (I would),” said Swift. Well after the taping West did call Swift to apologize for hijacking her acceptance speech. Backstage Taylor accepted his call and apology: “Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology — and I accepted it.”

Beyonce’s Dad Idea To Invite Taylor On Stage
Beyonce is such a sweet person but there is a little drama regarding the whole Kanye-Gate incident. After ‘Ye stole the spotlight everyone was amazed how Beyonce invited Taylor to speak during what should have been Beyonce’s moment to shine. The story behind this is that backstage Matthew Knowles consoled a crying Taylor and her mom Andrea. Matthew told US Magazine that:
“It was all Beyonce’s decision. I want to be clear about that. My job is to execute and come up with some ideas, but ultimately that was Beyonce’s decision.”
While the idea to allow Taylor to come onstage appears to be Beyonce’s dad/manager, it was Beyonce who decided to let Taylor Swift finish her Best Female Video acceptance speech. Matthew is proud of his daughter:
“I’ve always said the thing that makes me most proud about Beyonce is not how many records she sold or how many plaques she has or how many awards; it’s that she’s a genuine good person. I know it’s hard for people to believe that she can really be that nice of a person, but she really is.”

Kanye Apologizes To Taylor Swift In ALL CAPS
After making a complete a$$ of himself (AGAIN) at MTV’s VMA Kanye took to his blog to apologize to Taylor Swift for his rude behavior. Shortly after the VMA’s wrapped Mr.West took to his blog to say he is sorry for his rude behavior. Honestly someone needs to pull the brother aside and tell him a few things. Taylor is only 17 years old! and Kanye was not performing he was only a guest this year so what’s up with the behavior? We have to admit we loved the way Taylor handled Kanye’s rude behavior. We also loved how Beyonce let Taylor take the stage. Next time instead of apologizing Kanye needs to shut his mouth.

Kanye West Wins DoucheBag Of The Night At VMA’s
This guy has lost it. I think MTV needs to stop all of the hennessy and champagne from flowing because this guy is out of control. Taylor Swift won “Best Female Video of The Year” at the MTV VMA awards tonight and unfortunately ALL CAPS Kanye West stole the spotlight by getting on stage and grabbing the microphone and saying: “Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you. I’m gonna let you finish butBeyonce had one of the best videos of all time. You have to see the look on Beyonce’s face when she saw what Kanye was doing,, it was complete shock. Poor Taylor was speechless and her mic was appeared to be turned off ending her chance to thank anyone for her first moon man. The highlight of this story was when Beyonce won Best Video of The Year Award and she gave her speech time to Taylor. What a great ending! Kanye is an idiot. Look at the video before it’s taken down!

Taylor Swift aka Tswizzle Wins Video of the Year At 2009 CMT Awards!
Taylor Swift is so hard not to like. The down to earth country singer won Video of the Year award at the 2009 Country Music Television award show beating out Carrie Underwood’s Just A Dream, Brad Paisley’s Waitin on a Woman, Trace Adkins You’re Gonna Miss This, and Sugarland’s All I Want To Do. Taylor’s Love Story video was an elaborate production that features costumes as it echoes the story of Romeo and Juliet.
Before accepting the award Taylor made a hilarious video with BIG ASS CHAIN T-Pain as Tswizzle in a song called “Thug Love”. Taylor belted out some pretty funny lines like: “You can find me making cookies at night/You out clubbing? I just made caramel delights… What, What I knit sweaters!
After winning the award for her “Love Story” video the 19 year-old said: “I want to thank Shania Twain for always making such theatrical videos, and Garth Brooks for always putting the fans first. I take my cues from you. I thank the fans for giving me video of the year when my whole family is here watching.”

Taylor Swift Is All Sparkley On The Today Show
Country singer Taylor Swift, 19 brought in the sunshine yesterday morning on the Today Show. Thousands of her teenie bopper fans stayed in line for hours to see her perform for free. Swift said that: “I don’t know what I did to deserve this. I’m absolutely loving it. Thank you guys.” Taylor’s second album has already sold $3 million copies so far! This summer you can catch Taylor and Kellie Pickler on tour but if you happen to miss her check her out this Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press. Recently Swift opened up about her life and her new stardom.
Has success been overwhelming?
“Well, it’s really fun. I wanted this, since the time I was a little girl. I’ve always just wished that maybe someday people would care about the words that I wrote. I’m so lucky that my songs are basically my diary put to music. I’m so lucky that I get to write my own music and write my own stories, so every single time I look down in the audience and I see somebody singing the words back to me, it makes it all worth it.”
You’re friends with Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. What kind of camaraderie do you have with them?
“I’ve always approached this from the place where I don’t compete with other girls. I don’t compete with other people in the industry, I compete with myself. If I looked at every other girl in the entertainment industry as competition, my life would be really lonely. I wouldn’t have some of the coolest friends that I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know over the last couple of years. … It’s really awesome to get to hang out with those girls and to call them friends.”
