There were some that rocked the red carpet for the 82nd Annual Academy Award show while other were pure misses. Take a peek of Sandra Bullock, Zoe Saldana, Meryl Streep, Kathryn Bigelow, Charlize Theron, Anna Kendrick, Penelope Cruz, Sigourney Weaver, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gabourey Sidibe, and many more. Let us know who you think was the belle of the ball!

Let’s give it up for Mo’Nique, Sandra Bullock, and Kathryn Bigelow for winning big last night.
Mo’nique picked up the Best Supporting Actress crown for her portrayal of Mary Jones in the independent film Precious. Mo’Nique was criticized for not doing all of the regular Oscar junket. Here was her response backstage:
“Through this journey and process — and I’m sure some of you are sitting in this room right now — some reporters wrote, ‘Someone needs to teach Mo’Nique a lesson. Someone needs to tell her how this game is played.’ And I am very proud to be part of an Academy that says, ‘We will not play that game. We will judge her on her performance and not on how many dinners she attended and how many pictures she took. It’s on the screen.’”
Monique is the fifth African-American woman to win the Oscar with the trailblazers–Hattie Mcdaniel “Gone With The Wind” (1940), Jennifer Hudson “Dreamgirls” (2006), Whoopi Goldberg for “Ghost” (1990). Halle Berry is the only black woman to win the best actress honor for “Monster’s Ball,” in 2001. Seven black men have won acting Oscars.

Sandra Bullock who starred as Leigh Ann Tuohy in The Blind Side gave a wonderful acceptance speech for winning the Best Actress was still beaming backstage during her thank you speech. According to EW: Sandra was asked about the Razzie she won Saturday night for her role in the movie All About Steve, and the actress, who actually showed up at the ceremony to accept the statue, said she plans to keep her Oscar and Razzie next to each other.
“They’ll sit side-by-side in a nice little shelf somewhere,” Bullock said. “Well, the Razzie maybe on a different shelf, a lower shelf.”
You gotta love a girl like that! I think the only other actress to attend the Razzies was Halle Berry.

Kathryn Bigelow the kick ass director of The Hurt Locker made Oscar history last night by being the first female to ever win the coveted Best Director. Bigelow said:
“I hope I’m the first of many.. “I’d love to just think of myself as a filmmaker, and I long for the day when a modifier can be a moot point. But I’m ever grateful if I can inspire some young, intrepid, tenacious male or female filmmakers and have them feel that the impossible is possible.”
Our hats are off to all of you women!

Can you say Chewbacca? We love you baby girl but not shaving your hairy legs to the Golden Globes is not cool. Mo’Nique was quite organic and not ashamed to flaunt it by lifting up her dress for all the photogs to see. Can you imagine what her underarms must look like? Let me stop your nightmare right there. Mo’nique does shave her pits. On a recent visit to The View Mo’Nique blamed her hairy legs on a cultural thing adding “I really think hair on a woman’s legs is a black woman’s thing.” Really? ehh not buying it. I just call it being lazy or maybe just not giving a sh*t. Those goodie bags they give out need to include some Gillette shaving cream and a Venus triple blade. STAT!
