We know Kanye West loves the spotlight, so it’s extremely surprising to see that in his latest video “Coldest Winter” from his “808′s and Heartbreak“s album, he’s not even in it! The film was directed by Nabil Elderkin who also directed both of Kanye’s earlier videos “Paranoid” and “Welcome To Heartbreak“. MTV is quoted saying that the video as very ‘haunting’, but we have to say we were quite impressed. These days videos are all about club scenes, booty shakin’, and that ever so popular artist walking down the tough streets of the city shot. Kanye and Nabil took a really great stab at doing something completely different, by taking more of a gothic old-age look and feel.
Hats off to Kanye and the Director for giving us something new and fresh!
Gossilicious is back and so is Sade. We are just loving her new single “Soldier of Love”. Sade looks amazing and ageless. Make sure to download her full album “Soldier of Love” when it is released worldwide on February 8th. Peep the video.
Everyone’s been waiting anxiously to see what some of Whitney Houston’s new tracks sound like, and here you have it. She just completed the video above for her song titled, Million Dollar Bill (Hope she’s not rolling anything with that) . She’s still got that old school sound. Honestly, we aren’t really feeling it that much. It’s not the stuff that sells. It sounds more like something that was on one of her early 90′s albums. We hope this is a top smasher!
Britney Spears was at it again, with a few words sung for her haters… “You Oughta Know!” The pop princess covered Alanis Morrissette’s breakthrough hit during her Circus tour stop in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday night. If you listen to the video you’ll notice she had no backing track, and seemed to blow the bells on this track!
It’s been done a few times, but we have to admit it hasn’t been done this well. Fat Joe synced up with Jimi Hendrix on the new 2009 version of “Hey Joe”. We’re sure he’s paying a pretty penny for the rights as well! So what do you all think???
