Ashanti About To Get Dropped From Label
Seems that The Inc.’s president (and reality star wanna-be) Irv Gotti wants to give Ashanti the boot. Apparently he’s saying that he and Ashanti just don’t click like they used to, and the only possibility left is to simply end their mucisal and business affiliation.
“The relationship has run it’s course, “Gotti explained earlier this week while visiting the MTV offices. “The chemistry of what’s needed — we’re in two totally different places. You’re talking to somebody that took her and shaped and molded her and put her out there for the world, and it blew up. We [hold the record] for the [fastest] selling debut by a female R&B artist — 503 [thousand]. We did it! My views and philosophies and her views and philosophies are not meeting up.”
Let’s be very real right now. Irv used to run around saying Ashanti was the queen of R&B and we all knew and know that she is very FAR from it. So they gassed everyone up and she had some great sales. What happens when you gas people up though, is that eventually over time they get to see the real thing. She’s just not selling like she used to, and like many artists is a “has-been”. Every year there is a new face and a fresh sound, and eventually that face and sound get old. You can go down the list and count the names of artists that end up in this same situation. It’s unfortunate, but it’s a part of the game.

I See London, I See France…
I see Ashanti’s underpants! Well maybe I didn’t EXACTLY see it, but several people did get a bit of a peep show. While working the red carpet at a recent event, the cutie pie ended up getting a huge SPLIT up the rear side of her dress. Ummmm…yes booty was fully exposed. Wish you were there? We all do, but her seamstress rushed quickly to her aid to help stitch it up. Hmmm what do you think grandman drawers or thongs? Either way we feel for you Ashanti!
