Kate Winslet Calling It Quits With Hubby #2
British actress Kate Winslet and her director hubby Sam Mendes are getting a divorce. Kate’s lawyer released a statement:
“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year.”
“The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”
The Oscar-winning couple have a six-year-old son, Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes. Winslet also has another child Mia Honey with her ex-director/ex-husband Jim Threapleton. Mendes also directed Winslet’s Golden Globe-winning performance in 2008’s Revolutionary Road.
We hope this doesn’t turn into a nasty divorce. It sucks to get married and divorced twice. Maybe Kate is not the marrying type? or just needs to stay away from directors.

It’s Over For Janet and Jermaine
It was weird when we didn’t see Jermaine Dupri beside Janet Jackson at the July 7th memorial for Michael Jackson and now we know why. It looks like the two have split after a seven year relationship. Friends have said that they are moving in separate directions with Janet being shy and Jermaine being very outgoing. Janet is very reclusive do you remember how she kept her nine year marriage to Rene Elizondo a secret until their divorce in 2000?
Other friends are speculating that you shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. Jermaine a music executive produced several tracks on her last two cd’s which were complete flops. We are sure Janet is going through a tough patch in her life right now especially since her brother died. An insider said: “She’s devastated. She’s busy caring for Michael’s kids. Janet’s the family’s backbone.”
While its sad they broke up there have been rumors that the couple was on the outs for awhile. I always wondered what she saw in the little midget maybe he was a nice guy. I doubt she will be single for long.
