We kinda sorta knew this was not going to be a happy ending for the Koenig family. Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig had been reported missing on February 14th but his body had been found today in a park in Vancouver,British Columbia by suicide. In a press conference Andrew’s father Walter Koenig said: “My son took his own life..He was obviously in a lot of pain.” Walter Koenig asked that anyone who is considering suicide to get help.
“before you make that final decision, check it out again, and talk to someone.”
“If you’re one of those people who can’t handle it anymore, you know, if you can learn anything from this, there are people out there who really care,” he said. “You may not think so and ultimately it may not be enough, but there are people who really care.”

Britain’s top designer Alexander McQueen was found reportedly hanged in his London apartment. Sky News is reporting that local police have said the death would not be “treated as suspicious.”
No one knows the reason why this great designer would commit suicide but it could be the recent passing of his mother earlier this month. One of his tweets read: “im here with my girl annie tinkerbell wishing kerry the slag, happy birthday in NY, your 40 now girl time to slow it down we think.”
The message appears to have been written around mid afternoon on Tuesday of this week.
But the unusual tweets began when his mother passed away.
On February 3 McQueen wrote: “i’m letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”
This was completed seconds later with “but life must go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
McQueen tweeted again four days later, over two tweets, he added: “sunday evening been a f*****g awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together and finish with the HELLS ANGLES & PROLIFIC DEAMONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

A statement from McQueen’s website read: “At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s [McQueen's] family.”
We miss ya McQueen!

Goodness, our prayers go out to Kandi and AJ family.

Patrick Swayze lost his battle to pancreatic cancer today. Swayze’s publicist Annett Wolf released the following statement: “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.” We all remember Patrick as bad-boy Johnny Castle in “Dirty Dancing.” He would later star in the movie“Road House” where he portrayed a bouncer. Swayze’s most rememberable performance was Ghost. In the movie he played a murdered husband who communicates with his wife Demi Moore through a psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg.
As a three-time Golden Globe nominee for “Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost” and “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” Swayze had the adoration of millions of adoring female fans but the true love of his life was his wife Lisa Niemi. The couple have been since 1975 and as a licensed pilot she would fly Swayze from Los Angeles to Stanford University Medical Center for his chemo treatments. That’s love.
We miss you Patrick.

Not sure if this is true but word out there is that DJ AM aka Adam Goldstein has died. We will keep you updated if we hear anything. What the hell is going on in 2009? Damn.
UPDATE: According to the NY Post: Cops found prescription drug bottles inside DJ AM’s residence at 210 Lafayette St. after the 36-year-old’s lifeless body spotted face-down in his bed at around 5:23 p.m. by a friend, who was concerned he hadn’t heard from the performer in several days, sources said.
Emergency medical workers responding to a 911 call from the friend declared DJ AM dead at the scene. No foul play is suspected.
Prescription drugs and a crack pipe were found at the scene. Bottles of pills were found in both the bedroom and the kitchen. He was wearing sweatpants and no shirt.
DJ AM’s last posted on his Twitter account (on Tuesday) a line from Grandmaster Flash‘s song: “New york, New York. Big city of dreams, but everything in New York ain’t always what it seems.”
CRACK? Damn that drug is so like 1990′s what the hell was he doing that sh*t for? Back in 2007 DJ AM did an interview with the NY Times and said he had dabbled in crack when he was young but had been sober for 9 years. I wonder if it was from the plane crash last year? maybe some sort of survivor’s guilt? We will never know.
We miss ya DJ AM.

Former middleweight boxing champion Vernon Forrest was shot and killed Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia where he lived. The police said that Forrest had apparently been robbed and exchanged gunfire with his assailant. Forrest was with his girlfriends’ 11-year-old son when he pulled over at a gas station on Whitehall Street in the central part of Atlanta to put air into the tires of his Jaguar. It was then when a man attempted to rob him at gunpoint, police said. Forrest, who was also armed, ended up chasing the man several hundred feet towards a nearby intersection where the two exchanged gunfire. The ex-champ suffered from seven to eight shots to the back. Police do not know if the assailant had been shot. His girlfriends son who was in the car, was able to give police a description of the assailant, although he did not witness the actual shooting.
Forrests’ passions began with his desire to help the mentally challenged. Creating a blue print for charity and assistance to those without, he helped to create and establish Destiny’s Child, Inc. (D.C.I.) a group home that provides housing and assistance to mentally challenged adults. The home provides 24-hour supervision by trained mental health care professionals.
Forrest truly gained stardom when he became the first boxer to defeat “Sugar” Shane Mosley. The ex-champ had a 41-3 career record with 29 knockouts. Forrest was a member of the 1992 Olympic team. He also was a former IBF welterweight and two-time WBC junior middleweight champion. Vernon Forrest leaves behind one son Vernon, Jr.
Soemthing strange is going on in the boxing arena this is the third boxer who has died in the past month (Arturo Gatti, Alexis Arguello).
RIP Forrest, and we wish your family the best.

Best selling author E. Lynn Harris has died at the age of 54 after ailing health. Harris was on a book tour for his latest novel Basketball Jones when he passed in his hotel room. The work of Harris focused on gay and black culture. Harris won countless awards including the Lambda Literary Award for Freedom in This Village and Novel of the Year by the Blackboard African-American Inc. for his novel Just As I Am.
In a 2006 New York Times article, journalist Troy Patterson wrote that E.Lynn Harris “has helped bring taboo topics — like closeted black men indulging their sexuality ‘on the down low’ — into mainstream conversation.” From his debut with “Invisible Life”, Mr. Patterson wrote that Mr. Harris offered a writing style that “was smoothly paced, and the prose occasionally opened up on Fitzgerald-lite moments of sparkling sentiment.”
E. Lynn Harris’s Doubleday publisher released a statement:
“We at Doubleday are deeply shocked and saddened to learn of E. Lynn Harris’ death at too young an age. His pioneering novels and powerful memoir about the black gay experience touched and inspired millions of lives, and he was a gifted storyteller whose books brought delight and encouragement to readers everywhere. Lynn was a warm and generous person, beloved by friends, fans, and booksellers alike, and we mourn his passing.”
We are gonna miss you!

It is with great sadness that we let you know about the sad news of a little dog that made everyone run for the border. Gidget, the Chihuahua best known for her Taco Bell ad campaign, died from a stroke on Tuesday night at the ripe age of 15. “She made so many people happy,” says Gidget’s trainer, Sue Chipperton. Gidget took the Taco Bell lead away from a previous Chihuahua named Dinky, and even went on to STAR in Legally Blonde 2 as Bruiser’s mom. We’re thinking Dinky’s agent might be frantically making calls to the bell at this very moment.
Rest in peace Gidget!
